15 Fashion Questions Tag

Hello!
I felt like I've been rambling on about fashion and I never really expressed what my style sense entails.
I'm not someone who has a strict sense of style, but I tend to wear ensembles that suit my complexion, my height and my body shape.

1. What is your favourite style to wear?...
I wouldn't say that I have a favourite one, but I wear all things bright, cute, girly and colourful. I am currently very much into the collars, lace and the cute spring jumpers, with a good pair of jeans. I also quite like dresses in the summer, with brogues and frilly socks. I'm not sure whether my style has a particular name, if so, please feel free to comment and enlighten me.

2. Who is your fashion role model?...
This is hard... I have to confess that Miranda Kerr has a great sense of fashion, no matter where I see her, I absolutely love what she is wearing. Jessica Chastain always has an air of old Hollywood glamour, that is beautiful and classy at the same time. If I was to pick someone who is closer to my age range, I would have to say that Jennifer Lawrence always manages to pull it off, even though her fashion choices may seem quite mature. Well, I guess I didn't really answer the question, but I think everybody has their own unique sense of style and they may have certain hits and misses, but that's the fun in experimenting with fashion.

3. What do you always have on?...
I always wear some type of earring. I am a huge fan of 'drop-down' or 'dangly' earrings, I think they can really enhance the aesthetics of any outfit. I only have my ear lobes pierced, so I don't wear any other type of piercings. But, a good statement pair of earrings are essential.

4. What are your favourite jeans?...
I'm not sure whether this is valid, but I absolutely adore my jean/jeggings from Marks and Spencer. I do have jeans in various colours, but I think the traditional blue jeans are my favourite by far.

5. What are your favourite sunglasses?...
I am currently using some brown Polaroid sunglasses which are kind of square-shaped. They are very protective and look fairly stylish. I don't often have to wear them, but when I do, they make my summer outfits look complete (or at least I think they do).

6. What are your favourite shoes?...
I am loving the new brogues I got for my birthday from Clarks. They are very cute and girly with little cutout detailing and I can wear them anywhere. They are also exceptionally comfortable and perfect for the summer, as they can be worn with or without socks.

7. Who influenced you to write about fashion?...
Well, this is the first post where I talk about my own style, but I love to read what others write about fashion. I think fashion is something that developed (for me) during my teen years. When I was younger, fashion was not something that intrigued me, because my mother would choose my outfits. But, as I have grown, I've got more freedom with what I choose to wear. So, for inspiration I would read other people's blogs or watch youtube tutorials, which were my real influence.

8. What is your favourite store?...
I don't really have a specific store that I like, because I tend to get pieces that I like from all over the place. But, New Look is a shop that always has something that I like. The House of Holland by Henry Holland section in Debenhams has pieces that are fashionable, affordable for all the seasons.

9. Who is your favourite fashion person on YouTube?...
I am always intrigued by Zoella's youtube videos because I am equally obsessed with collars. I also like to watch the uglyfaceofbeauty's channel because her fashion is always very modern and up-to-date.

10. What is your favourite fabric?...
I would have to pick either chiffon or silk, because they are probably the most comfortable fabrics that make me look presentable. Otherwise, I love whatever fabric my pyjamas are made from, because I'm not one to 'glam-up' during the day unless I have somewhere important to go.

11. Who is your favourite model?...
I think I'll have to pick from Victoria Secret's Miranda Kerr or Adriana Lima because I think they are absolutely gorgeous, but they also promote healthy lifestyles, rather than the easier route of starving oneself. If you look back into their background, it's easier for me to relate to where they came from and the struggles they had to overcome to get to where they are.

12. If you had £5000 to spend on any item, what would it be?...
Well, this is pretty easy for me, because I constantly peruse Vogue to see the newest designer fashions. I would buy a tote bag from Louis Vuitton or a 4-wheel Zephyr Suitcase, by the same designer. From the remaining amount of money I would buy something from Elie Saab's collection or some shoes from Christian Louboutin. These are my three favourite designer brands, so anything from there.

13. Heels or flats?...
Currently I would say flats because they are the most comfortable to walk around in (for me). But, I am fairly short, so I hope to buy some heels and practise, so that in a few years time, I can answer heels for this question.

14. What purse do you currently use?...
I'm not sure whether this applies to the handbag or the purse that you keep money and various cards in. So, I am going to answer for both possibilities. My handbag is a one shoulder, brown/tan leather bag from Clarks. My purse is a light-brown, leather one from Radley. I love both because they are both fairly spacious and easy to carry around.

15. Is fashion in your blood or your jeans?...
I'm not exactly sure how to answer this question. But, I think it's a bit of both. My grandmother on my mother's side use to sew and design clothes quite a lot, but I also think that my fashion sense has evolved throughout my lifetime, as it is mostly influenced by the latest trends. Nevertheless, I am not afraid to experiment and wear ensembles that I like, despite not being very fashionable in comparison with what other teenagers are seen wearing on the streets.
